Construction Photos! The Jeffersonian addition project has moved into the construction phase so we thought you all would like to see how things are coming along. I was out at the site a couple times within the past month and I’ve got to say it’s a great experience to see your ideas transferred from a drawing set to reality.
At this point the walls and roof are up and the windows are all installed. The roofer came to do his installation just after these pictures were taken so that should be done at this point as well. All that is left to do on the exterior is put up the siding and the pilasters around the bay. Exciting stuff.
Inside we still don’t quite know what we’re going to do with the old barbecue left over from the space’s prior incarnation as a porch. Hopefully we can remove as much of the barbecue as possible but we still have to support the chimney up above. I know our friend Barbara Lee from wants the barbecue space to use for a custom entertainment center. We’re excited to see what she has in store for the interior design regardless.
That’s all for now. The exterior work should be wrapping up soon so we’ll be sure to give everyone and update when it’s complete.
